Hi, I'm Alan Ewers, CMT.

I am fascinated by the complexity of human movement. Massage therapy is a simplistic term for my practice. Using soft tissue manipulation, connective tissue release, cranio-sacral and movement re-education, my goals are to reintroduce my clients to the fuller expression of the intelligence of the body and its proper balance and function.

I offer a range of bodywork services.

Working together with my clients I can deliver the specific therapeutic solutions to best meet your body's needs and goals.

Craniosacral Therapy

A form of bodywork that manipulates the synarthrodial joints of the cranium in an effort to relieve pain, joint problems, chronic fatigue, depression, hyperactivity and various diseases affecting the nervous, immune or endocrine systems.

Deep Tissue Massage

Focusing primarily on the deeper layers of muscles and the fascia, deep tissue massage aims to releasing chronic muscle tension, lower spasms, treat anxiety, reduce arthritis symptoms, lower blood pressure and improve recovery from injuries.

Myofascial Release

Relax and lengthen muscles and the connective tissues called fascia surrounding the muscles and enveloping the entire bodies, with the goal of eliminating pain caused by muscles or other connective tissues that are “tied down” by tight fascia.

Active Isolated Stretching

Effective, dynamic, facilitated stretching of major muscle groups, providing functional and physiological restoration of superficial and deep fascial planes.

Trigger Point Therapy

Alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. Using deep breathing techniques, together we can identify the exact location and intensity of the discomfort.

Visceral Manipulation

Correct imbalances throughout the body including musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, urogenital, respiratory, digestive and lymphatic dysfunction.

What people are saying.

"If I could give Alan 6 stars, I would. I was really impressed with his ability to size up quite quickly what the root causes of my lower and middle back pain are. Of all the massage therapists I have seen in the past 40 years, he is the most knowledgeable about anatomy. He applies exactly the right pressure needed. He is also very knowledgeable about nutrition which is helpful. I also enjoyed his office in that it is clean and quiet. I felt relief and loosening in chronically tight areas after the very first massage and look forward to the next sessions. I recommend Alan without reservation! He is the best massage therapist I have ever seen."
Steve O., from Yelp review

"Alan is an exceptional professional. At first I was hesitant to hire Alan because he's a dude, and I'm a dude. I've had many massages, but almost always from a female. After our first session this was no longer an issue for me. His knowledge of human anatomy and mechanics shows immediately in the quality of his work. After a few sessions many of my back issues began to improve. He does not take a one size fits all approach to massage. Each session is tailored to what your body needs to improve functionality. I continue to see Alan for maintenance and will continue to do so. I'm fortunate to have found such a great professional!"
D. Jarvis, from Google review

"Thanks to Alan, my chronic pain is almost gone."
Noriko D., from Yelp review

"Alan's knowledge of the body is extensive. When I go to him with a specific ache, pain or injury, he is incredibly helpful and healing. And when I go to him without a specific complaint, he educates me on posture, body connections, and overall health."
Amy Gardner, Fitness Instructor

"Alan knows how to work with the physical body inside out and provides a safe foundation for healing to take place."
Mei-Yan Chiang, Ph.D.
